Thomas Nicholson

My name is Thomas Nicholson, and I was born in Salem, Oregon. For as far back as I can remember, I have not only loved music, but have loved entraining people. I grew up both in Salem, and the surrounding area. I introduced to God at an early age, going to different churches in town often. I started to sing in grade school, and started to play electric guitar in high school. After attempting to form or join various secular bands, I decided to write what I considered to be Christian rock. It still had the music of the secular bands, but the message was change to about God and of God. My musical influences range from Mozart to Robert Johnson, Ace Frehley to Joe Satriani, Elvis to Iron Maiden, and Oak Ridge Boys to tobyMac. I love God, I love music, and I love performing music about God for people.

To me the most important thing with music, at least Christian music, is not what style is, how fast or slow it is played, or what instruments are played. That most important thing is the message. I believe that God not only made us to love us and us to love and serve Him, but us to enjoy the gifts that He has given us. Music is one of the greatest gifts that God gave us. Not only for some of us to play, sing, and dance, but for all of us to enjoy and have fun.
